Applicants for competitive discretionary grants must apply through Grants.gov. Grants.gov requires applicants to complete a three step registration process which can take up to 5 days to complete. Please review carefully the registration instructions in the document, "Getting Started: Registering with Grants.Gov is as Easy as 1,2,3." Additional information regarding the registration process can be found at www.grants.gov.

Existing or continuing discretionary grantees will continue to use the Office of Justice Program's Grants Management System (GMS) to apply, as will applicants for formula grants.

Court Appointed Special Advocates Program
All applications are due by 8:00 p.m. E.T., on May 15, 2008.

This program seeks to ensure that abused and neglected children receive highquality, sensitive, effective, and timely representation in dependency court hearings.
 
Nonparticipating State Program, Wyoming

The purpose of this program is to assist Wyoming in developing a range of secure and nonsecure alternatives for juveniles in custody and in revising pertinent policies to address compliance with the core requirements of the JJDP Act. The program is authorized under the provisions of the Act, specifically, Section 223(d) of the JJDP Act.
 
Membership Support Services for Nonprofit Missing Children's Organizations
The due date for applying for funding under this announcement is 12:00 p.m. E.T., June 6, 2008.

Provides resources for the grantee to support a membership organization of nonprofit organizations that serve the families of missing and exploited children, provide services to law enforcement and community agencies, provide public awareness and education about child protection, and related purposes.
 
Gang Prevention Coordination Assistance Program

Provides funding for localities to enhance coordination of Federal, state, and local resources in support of community partnerships implementing two or more of the following antigang strategies: primary prevention, secondary prevention, gang intervention, and gang enforcement.
 
Tribal Youth Program's Juvenile Accountability Discretionary Grants

OJJDP will award the Tribal Youth Program's (TYP) Juvenile Accountability Discretionary Grants to federally recognized tribes to develop and implement programs that hold tribal youth accountable for their delinquent behavior and strengthen tribal juvenile justice systems.
