After a period of increase between 1982 and 1994, the juvenile arrest rate for vandalism fell 33% between 1994 and 2007.

- The juvenile arrest rate for vandalism rose 44% between 1982 and 1994, its peak year in the 1980-2007 period.
- The rate declined 37% between 1994 and 2001, held relatively constant between 2001 and 2005, then increased 10% through 2007. The juvenile arrest rate for vandalism in 2007 was 16% below its 1980 level.
- About 13% of juvenile arrests for vandalism were arrests of females in 2007 and 41% were arrests of youth under age 15.
