Note: Rates are arrests of persons ages 10-17 per 100,000 persons ages 10-17 in the resident population.

  • Between 1997 and 2007, the arrest rate for curfew and loitering violations dropped 37%.
  • Nearly one-third (31%) of juvenile arrests for curfew and loitering violations in 2007 involved a female, and 26% involved youth under age 15.
