- After a moderate increase throughout the 1980s, the juvenile male arrest rate for forcible rape declined continuously between 1991 and 2000, leveled off, then fell 24% through 2007.
- Females constitute a small share of juvenile arrests for forcible rape. In 2007, just 2% of all juvenile arrests for forcible rape involved a female.
