- Between 1980 and 2007, arrest rates for larceny-theft declined for all racial groups: 74% for Asians, 52% for American Indians, 43% for blacks, and 40% for whites.
- The black-white disparity in larceny-theft arrest rates peaked in 1982, when the black rate was 2.5 times higher than the white rate. In 2007, the black rate was 2.2 times the white rate.
