- For white juveniles and black juveniles, arson arrest rates were essentially equal for most years between 1980 and 2007 and ended the 28-year period at a level near their averages for the period.
- Between 1980 and 2007, the arson arrest rate for Asian juveniles stayed within a limited range and was substantially below the rate for other races, averaging less than 30% of the white rate over the 28-year period. Because the number of arson arrests reported for American Indian juveniles each year was small, arson arrest rate magnitudes and trends for this racial group are unreliable.
