| Note: Rates are arrests of persons ages 10-17 per 100,000 persons ages 10-17 in the resident population. Persons of Hispanic ethnicity may be of any race, i.e., white, black, American Indian, or Asian. Arrests of Hispanics are not reported separately. |

- For all racial groups, juvenile arrest rates for vandalism increased from the early 1980s and into the 1990s. Rates peaked earlier for whites and blacks (1991) than for Asians (1994) and American Indians (1995).
- For white, American Indian, and Asian juveniles, rates in 2007 were at or below their 1980 levels. For black juveniles, the juvenile arrest rate for vandalism was slightly above their level in the early 1980s
