- Students ages 1218 were victims of an estimated 868,100 in-school thefts in 200558% of all crimes in school.
- The rates of violent crime and theft occurring in school declined substantially between 1992 and 2005, so much so that students experienced far fewer crimes of violence and theft in their schools in 2005 than in 1992.
