(NCJ 204273) July 2004
Bulletin, 12 page(s)
Mihalic, S., Irwin, K., Fagan, A., Ballard, D., Elliott, D.

Presents results of the process evaluation of Blueprints programs, identifying critical components of program implementation. The Blueprints for Violence Prevention initiative, developed by the Center for the Study and Prevention of Violence at the University of Colorado–Boulder and supported by OJJDP, is a leader in identifying exemplary violence prevention and drug prevention programs that have been evaluated in rigorous, controlled trials. A major goal of the Blueprints initiative has been to enhance the understanding of program implementation by studying the factors that hinder the successful implementation of programs. This was accomplished by conducting process evaluations at each of the Blueprints replication sites.
